thumb_up Pros
- + Clean passthrough blending with no visible clipping or artifacts
- + Sharp video quality throughout on Quest 3
- + Clear audio with natural-sounding dialogue and breathing
thumb_down Cons
- − Camera positioned far too distant, performer feels like she's across the room rather than in your bed
- − Passthrough scale doesn't match the intimate scenario promised by the title
- − Seated positioning during key moments exacerbates the distance problem
Kitty In Your Room has the right idea but struggles with the most fundamental ask of a passthrough scene: making the performer feel like they're actually in your space. The full-body passthrough tech is solid, Kitty's rendered cleanly without obvious clipping or artifacts, but the camera positioning absolutely kills the immersion. She's positioned way too far back, which defeats the entire purpose of this format. You're watching her perform from across the room instead of feeling her presence right there with you.
Video quality on Quest 3 is sharp and the passthrough blending is clean, so SLR has the technical chops down. Audio is clear without any obvious room tone issues. The performer delivers a decent energy level and there's decent engagement here, the problem isn't the talent, it's the direction. On standard VR scenes, distance variation is fine. On passthrough, where the whole selling point is physical presence in your actual bedroom, camera distance is everything. My experience backs this up completely: the excessive distance is immediately obvious, and the blowjob scene is shot from so far back it feels absurd.
This is a capable production let down by poor spatial positioning. If SLR corrects the camera distance on future passthrough releases, this concept could work really well. Right now, it's more novelty than immersion.
