Violet Myers Experience lands a big-name performer in an SLR Original, but the execution stumbles where it matters most. I went in expecting SLR to tighten up their game with a recognizable talent, and instead I'm staring at a scene that feels rushed and poorly calibrated.
The video quality is soft and compressed, not terrible, but noticeably below SLR's usual standard when they're working with marquee names. On Quest 3, there's visible artifacting and a lack of sharpness you'd expect at this price point. More problematic is the camera placement: the scale feels off throughout, particularly during the first half. Violet doesn't quite read as life-sized; there's a subtle "too far away" vibe that breaks presence. The audio is fine, clean dialogue, natural room tone, but it can't save what's fundamentally a spatial misjudgment.
The core issues here are hard to miss. The camera distance and positioning are a significant miss, plain and simple. This is especially frustrating because Violet brings strong energy and engagement, she's genuinely present and performing well.
