Dante's Inferno: Beatrice A XXX Parody
Blake Blossom as Beatrice: VRCosplayX reached into literary canon for this one
The Award
"Dante's Inferno: Beatrice A XXX Parody" won Best VR One-on-One Sex Scene at the 41st AVN Awards in January 2024. This was the first year AVN split its VR categories into one-on-one and group subcategories, and VRCosplayX won the inaugural one-on-one award, their second AVN VR win following the Ahsoka Tano parody in 2022.
The Scene
Where most adult parodies draw from superhero franchises and popular TV shows, VRCosplayX went deep into the canon with a Dante's Inferno adaptation. Blake Blossom stars as Beatrice, the divine muse of Dante Alighieri's literary masterpiece, reinterpreted through the lens of the 2010 video game adaptation. The 7K 180-degree stereoscopic VR puts serious visual fidelity behind the costume work and set design, creating an experience that rewards the immersive format.
The Performers
Blake Blossom was arguably the biggest breakout performer of the early 2020s. An AVN and XBIZ Award winner in her own right, Blossom brought mainstream name recognition and genuine performance ability to the role. Her casting elevated what could have been a niche parody into an event release. Ryan Driller is a veteran male performer with extensive VR experience, making him an ideal scene partner for the technical demands of the format.
The Studio
VRCosplayX continued to double down on their cosplay-first identity. By 2024, the studio had built an extensive catalog of IP-adjacent parodies spanning video games, anime, comics, and classic literature. Each release features custom costumes and themed set pieces. The Dante's Inferno choice speaks to the studio's willingness to reach beyond obvious pop culture picks. We don't currently cover VRCosplayX with full reviews.
Why It Matters
Winning the first-ever AVN Best VR One-on-One Sex Scene award was a statement. The category split acknowledged that VR content had matured enough to merit distinct recognition for different scene types. VRCosplayX taking the inaugural one-on-one prize, with a literary adaptation no less, showed that the VR space rewards creative risk. It also cemented Blake Blossom's status as one of the most bankable names in VR.
