Atomic Blonde

VR Bangers' "Atomic Blonde" puts you in the hot seat as a captured spy being "interrogated" by the imposing Katy Jayne. The premise works well enough; you're caged, she's in charge, and the power dynamic feels naturally suited to VR. Jayne brings solid energy to the role, maintaining eye contact and playing up the dominant interrogator angle without overacting. Her naturally busty frame fills the 180° field nicely, and she uses the space well during the various positions.

Unfortunately, the 6K promise doesn't quite deliver on Quest 3. The image has that soft, slightly dated look that's become VR Bangers' signature, decent but noticeably behind what SLR or CzechVR are pulling off in 2024. Compression artifacts are visible in darker areas, and there's a general lack of sharpness that makes this feel more like upscaled 4K than true 6K. The camera positioning is generally solid, sitting at a natural height throughout most positions, though it pulls back a bit too far during the standing segments.

Audio is clean with good spatial placement, and the lighting strikes a nice balance between the dungeon setting and keeping Jayne properly lit. The interrogation theme gives structure to what could have been a generic encounter, and Jayne's performance sells it well. The variety of positions keeps things moving, with particularly strong camera work during the reverse cowgirl segments.

This lands squarely in "solid but not spectacular" territory. Katy Jayne's commanding performance and the well-executed theme make it worth watching if you're into the performer or scenario, but the technical limitations keep it from being a standout. Worth it for Jayne fans, but newcomers might want to start with VR Bangers' more recent releases.
