VR Bangers takes the stepsis taboo theme poolside with Charly Summer in what should be a slam dunk scenario, outdoor jacuzzi setting, attractive performer, and solid scene length. The jam jar premise is admittedly silly, but Summer sells it with genuine enthusiasm and natural chemistry that makes the awkward setup work better than it has any right to.
Technically, this is where things get frustrating. The 8K capture has decent sharpness in close-ups, but VR Bangers' aggressive compression robs the image of the crisp detail you'd expect at this resolution on Quest 3. The outdoor lighting is naturally gorgeous (soft, dimensional, and flattering) but the encode can't quite deliver it cleanly. Audio is solid with clear dialogue and natural ambient pool sounds, though Summer's breathing occasionally clips during more intense moments.
