thumb_down Cons
- − Soft, over-compressed 6K
- − Flat studio lighting
- − Camera height slightly off
- − Dated production quality
VR Bangers attempts a political espionage fantasy with Misha Cross as a caught spy, but the execution feels more 2018 than 2024. The 180° 6K labeling is generous, this looks soft and over-compressed on Quest 3, with noticeable banding in darker sections and that telltale VR Bangers house look that prioritizes quantity over sharpness. The office set works well enough for immersion, though the lighting feels flat and artificial throughout.
Cross brings solid energy to her role as the duplicitous aide, selling the premise better than the production deserves. She maintains decent eye contact and positioning, though the camera sits slightly too high during the opening confrontation sequence. Audio is clean with no major sync issues, but the dialogue feels stilted and the room tone is noticeably dead.
The position variety hits the expected marks, missionary, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, and doggystyle all make appearances with reasonable framing. Scale feels mostly accurate, though some of the closer shots push into uncomfortably intimate territory without the video quality to back it up. At 46 minutes, it's substantial enough, but the political roleplay angle feels half-hearted and the overall production shows VR Bangers' age compared to current-gen studios.
Wait for a sale. decent performer energy can't elevate middling technical execution.
